At the start of 10th grade, Alex Wagonfeld from The Nueva School was motivated and ready to dedicate all of his time and energy to take climate action. However, he hit a roadblock quite quickly; he didn't know which organizations he could get involved with, if he could actually have an impact, and what he would do at any given organization.

He initially created a list of organizations for himself to explore opportunities for action and joined a few. Then, Alex realized many other high schoolers encounter the same roadblock of how to get involved. He created hsClimateAction.org, a resource that has reached thousands of high school students and is expanding to multiple chapters throughout the United States.
